EXHIBITION

Four Seasons of Light – Hwang Chao-Mo's Oil Painting

In the 1950s, when Hwang Chao-Mo was still in high school, he began to use watercolor to depict the geographical features of his hometown Donggang under the light of the day - the warm and intimate river, the harbor, the fishermen, the bamboo rafts and boats, the villagers and the Dawu Mountain nearby. With great enthusiasm, he poured his brushes into his paintings and tirelessly pursued the path of art. Later on, when he enrolled into the Department of Fine Arts and studied in Belgium, his creation entered a whole new level. The "Four Seasons of Light" attempts to select from a large number of artwork, landscape oil paintings as the main subject, capturing the spatial transformation of time and light between sunrise and sunset, reflecting the artist's broad vision of life and creation, and revealing the realm of infinite refinement.
